When a person has been diagnosed with cancer they may have a few options available to them to help cope with it. One option that many people choose is chemotherapy treatment. These treatments are drug based treatments given to patients in a variety of ways. A person could be injected with medicines or may take them orally. The desired effect is to disperse the medicine throughout the body as well as to the cancerous area.

However, the side effects of Avastin are vomiting, stomach pains and nausea. Would it be worth risking the possible side effects of the drug instead of just living with the mouth sores? A side effect of vomiting for someone who is already suffering from vomiting because of their chemotherapy could prove deadly. Chemotherapy drug cost and the price you pay
If you are taking chemotherapy drugs for even short durations, you will be spending thousands of dollars in the mean time. What’s even worse is if you are using multiple drugs at one time. Most medical insurance and Medigap plans won’t cover these costs. The patient would have to come out of pocket for each refill. Adding insult to injury, they may become sicker from the drugs side effects.
