Another service I would make threads and reply to is article writing. Article writing over at DigitalPoint isn’t the best however you can make money from either writing or being the middleman between clients.

Writing there for me consisted of producing articles on various subjects that range from three hundred word press releases to maybe fifteen hundred word how to articles. The word count, subject, turn around time and pay rate depends on the client’s preference. My job was to go for the highest pay possible since I write fairly well. It isn’t difficult for me to sit down and write articles quickly especially if I’m already familiar with the subject matter. Even if I wasn’t, all I would need to do is read a couple of articles on the subject and write based off of the researched materials. There are writing gigs at DigitalPoint that are called article re-writing. That isn’t what I was doing and those gigs don’t really pay well anyway. To be honest I think article rewriting is lazy and it dumbs down internet content. Many people choose this form of article writing simply because they can pay less money for the material. It can either be done manually by someone taking pre-existing articles and rewording them or by using article software’s that re-write content based off of synonyms.

How to make money article writing at DigitalPoint -

What’s good about article writing if you qualify is that American English is in high demand. Since there are a lot of foreigners especially people from India at the forums, you can have the upper hand if you can render proper American English. Even if you can’t produce it, you can serve as a middleman that hires someone else who can. An example would be someone getting a gig to write ten, five hundred word articles for fifty dollars. Let’s say the turn around time is three days and you can’t write to save you life. What you would do is browse the content creation forum or the content forum and find someone who has offered their writing service at a rate that is less than what the original client is paying you.

Hypothetically, let’s say you see someone is willing to write five hundred word articles at one cent per word. All you would need to do is hire them to write for you, pay them twenty five dollars and give the client the articles who in turn pays you fifty. You have just made twenty five dollars and you haven’t done anything but hired a reliable person! Your only concerns are to hire someone reliable that can reach the deadline and that can write well. If push comes to shove, you may have to edit the articles a little just to make sure everything is up to par. At the end of the day you haven’t really done anything difficult. If you do this enough it can really pay of big. Every time I do this I take complete credit for the articles and the client neither the person I hired know of each or what I’m doing. Nothing about it is immoral or illegal. I got the client their articles and I paid the writer to write. This is the type of mind frame you need when you are working online at the forums. You have to be a go getter that’s really willing to get out there and hussle!

Another way you could handle this same situation is by browsing the content forum and buying pre-written articles on the subject you client wants. As I mentioned in the previous article, many people don’t search the forums enough to know what’s available to them. They may hire someone and pay them not realizing that what they want is already written and at a cheaper rate than they are willing to pay. Daily people offer five, ten, fifteen article packs on the same subject. So, instead of them hiring a writer to write five, five hundred word articles, they could have simply bought five, five hundred word articles, normally for less money.

Downside to article writing –

One of the main complaints of the article writing section at DigitalPoint is that there are too many people willing to write. The supply far exceeds the demand. What makes it worse is that too many people who can’t write do so which brings the quality of the content down. In turn this brings the rate of pay down even for good writers. The general consensus then becomes, “Why should I pay well for content that is probably going to be poor anyway?” The situation is that you have people from other countries that can’t write the American English that most people want. Yet at the same time they charge less money since their cost of living is less than it is in America. Greedy people who want content will hire them instead of paying a decent rate for a quality American writer. The outcome is poor content. There is no getting around it. What it all boils down to is if you want quality articles from American’s who know the English language along with the lingo, you must pay!

The challenge for the writer is to be able to compete and not compromise their pay scale by accepting rates foreigners accept. Once this happens on a large scale the good writers will be stuck making peanuts. What’s worse is that the person who buys the article has a lifetime to make money from the content through advertisements, text links, marketing and promotion while the writer only made a few dollars. It’s not all doom and gloom though. There are people who will pay thirty, sixty even hundreds of dollars per article.

Overall writing at DigitalPoint is another good way to make money in conjunction with other services. It may not be enough to rely solely on article writing to make a living. However, if you develop a reputation as a good writer, you can branch out and start your own article writing service..........
